Sue, this is a priceless piece of audio. I’ve been working a lot lately on first identifying my needs (which is sometimes the hardest part, I find) and then asking for what I need. I’ve been using Nonviolent Communication, which has been a wonderful in-depth resource. Your layout is a great reminder for when I don’t happen to have the NVC book with me.

I’m so glad to see you blogging so much these days. So many of us can benefit from what you have to teach.

    Thanks Kylie!
I forget how the simple things can be so helpful! So glad you found it helpful.
I have heard of that book and clients are saying they really like it.

  3. I love this simple format. It seems like just about every one of my clients comes across “asking for what they want” as a challenge in what they are trying to achieve.

It’s so easy to fall into the trap of “not wanting to offend anyone” that a lot of people just stop asking for what they want.

Thanks for laying out a simple way to ask. I will be sending people here for a listen.
