Do you think you are the leader in your relationship? Have any stories to share?

Those Pesky Relatives and the Holidays.

November 20, 2010

It’s getting busy! My practice gets really full during the Holidays,

Guess they really are stressful.

And Cody is still helping everyone

out with pets, at least the in-person clients. He’s getting a bit

older, 12 or so. A little slower, but still a very loving therapy dog.

My hope is that this Audio helps

you deal with relatives, and know how to show up as a

strong, powerful person. They sure can be tricky sometimes, huh?

They might be yours or your spouse’s or partner’s. But ya still

have to deal with ‘em!

I also talk about how Patrick Swayze can help us;

in a fun way. (I sure do miss his acting.) Click here to listen.

with tricky situations over the holidays. Would love to hear

your opinion.

Stay warm and cozy,

Sue

I Believe Women Will Save The World, BUT…

November 1, 2010

I think women are so strong and want so much to make good families and have functional relationships. BUT, I have been working one on one with women for 34 years, and if we don’t claim our power and KNOW what we each have to offer, we are f…..ed!

It’s funny that we had a Women’s Movement, but there are so many women who still have low self esteem.  We are wasting so much time and energy worrying about how we look, if our butt is big, afraid of making people angry, afraid someone won’t like us, afraid men will leave us or never “pick” us.

This is a BIG problem for what we are teaching younger women. Our daughters, our nieces, our granddaughters, our sisters.

Women have a great intuition, they have dreams and are usually in touch with them. So much potential. I have heard so many women say they were walking down the isle and knew they shouldn’t be marrying this person, but they did anyway.

Let me share a story of Janice who is 50ish:

She is such a fun person, she has a loving partner in her life, she is smart, has a good job and has a great community of friends. You know what she worried about most of the time? Her body. She has everything anyone could want and that is what she focused on. And of course the story ends with her learning who she really is and what she really wants and she is moving forward to make that happen:)

And there is Carmen 26:

She is amazing; when I work with her she figures out things so quickly. Like why she has let people treat her badly and why she didn’t think she could do what she wants to in life. She is fighting a disease, and I have never seen anyone work so hard to get it cleared up. She is seeing that she can have work that she wants, and that she can pick friends that are good to her. (She’s getting rid of the old ones that aren’t respectful. and kind and doing their work.)

We learn how to be in the world from the family we came from. Yeah, yeah, I know, a lot of people think it doesn’t matter. BUT, if you didn’t have good role models that were loving and kind and enjoying their life most of the time, you are not going to have a light hearted life with power and purpose. You’re going to be worried and concerned a lot of the time. That doesn’t help you get what you want. And it doesn’t show younger women power in their world.

Soooo, I believe women have so much power, we can save the word, we can raise and influence the children in our life. We can work it out, there is always a way to grow into our BIG selves.

What do you think? What have you leaned about yourself and power? What is your belief about power? Please leave a comment below.
